The Black Girls Coalition is an organization providing information and services for auslanders living an alternative lifestyle.
Black Girls Coalition started in New York City
in 1994 originally as a group catering to African Americans. It was
a place where individuals
could gather with people who looked like them, talked like them, and
related to them.
This concept is now being redeveloped in Berlin by the founder Paisley
Dalton. Initially, a core member group has been formed to assist in
providing legal advice, practical advice, and fellowship ... the tools
needed to survive in any major city.
The BGC's first goal is to be an alternative place
where auslanders can get information on how to transition into a foreign
country, i.e., going
to the Ausländer Behörde, Arbeitsamt etc.
Eventually, the expectaction is that the coalition will be able to provide
information on a vast number of topics.
